    I Got Skills (IGS) is an online marketplace for employment, connecting employers and job seekers based on their unique requirements and preferences. IGS offers a wide range of features and benefits for recruitment, and is open to enterprises of all sizes and trades.
  1. Why should I register with I Got Skills?
    IGS gives you a free life-time access to career guidance, training and employment matchmaking services based on your interests, preferences, real-time job vacancies and training courses. As a platform with thousands of employers and training providers registering month on month, IGS is a marketplace of unlimited opportunities.
  1. Is there an eligibility criteria to register on IGS?
    There is no eligibility criteria to register on IGS.
  1. Does it cost me to use IGS portal?
    No, IGS is developed by Mindtree as a part of their CSR initiative with an investment of INR 30 Crore over 5 years, and it is offered FREE of cost to all users.
  1. Will I get government jobs?
    At present we do not have employment opportunities related to Government Sectors. We will update you once we have employment opportunities from Government Sectors. Meanwhile you can check the thousands of employment opportunities from other private sectors.
  1. How to register with I Got Skills as a candidate?
    You can register with IGS by:
  • Clicking on the ‘Login/Register’ option at the top of the home page and choosing Job seeker/trainee
  • Visiting https://igotskills.in/candidateand clicking on ‘New User Register Here’ link
    Once registration is successful, you will receive your login credentials on screen and on your registered mobile number via SMS. You can use the same to login to IGS Candidate portal.
  1. How long will my account be active?
    IGS user accounts do not have an expiry date. By default, they carry a life-time subscription.
  1. Can I register on IGS more than once?
    No, Multiple accounts for a single user is not permitted on IGS. Duplicate accounts will be deleted from the system periodically.
  1. Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
    Yes, If you are Interested, you can click on Interested button for more than one job at a time.
  1. I forgot my user name/ password to my account. How can I login?
    To retrieve User name: Please contact our helpdesk at 080-67067119 or help@igotskills.in and To retrieve Password: Please click on ‘Forgot Password?’ link in the login page, and enter your user name. An OTP will sent to your registered phone number, and new password can be created on confirming the OTP.
  1. How can I change the username/password for my account?
    You can change your user name or password by clicking the ‘Change username/password’ link at the top right corner of your IGS profile page.
  1. How can I update/edit my profile?
    You can update or edit your profile data by clicking the “Edit” button at the top right corner of your profile page. For more details, refer to the user guide available on the left side panel of the IGS portal.
  1. How can I post my Resume?
    You can update your latest Resume and Identity proof in the Documents section.
    Click on Edit button to upload Resume and ID proof.
  1. Who all have access to My Profile and details?
    By registering to IGS, you will make your resume and details searchable to clients of I Got Skills, who are employers/recruiters and training providers. You may be contacted by them via email, telephone, SMS and/or post.
  1. How do I get Employment/Training alerts?
    Every Tuesday and Thursday you will get SMS alerts for “New matches”. You can login to https://igotskills.in/candidate and find your new matches under “View Opportunities” tab.
  1. How can I refine my search in “View Opportunities”?
    You can refine your search in “View Opportunities” by applying filters on Nature of Employment, preferred location, expected salary and preferred sector. For more details refer to User guide available on the left side panel.
  1. How can I apply for a selected job?
    You can view your current opportunities by clicking on “View Opportunities”. You can see the list of all the opportunities in the View Opportunities. If you click on the opportunity, you will see a popup with the details of the employer. If you are Interested, you can click on Interested button.
  1. When can I expect a response after a successful job application?
    After a successful job application if the Employer/Trainer is also interested in your profile, they will schedule an interview. The interview details will be sent to your mobile number through SMS.
  1. How can I change my preferences?
    You can update or change your preferred Job Sector and job Type by clicking Edit next to each Preferences. For more details refer to User guide available on the left side panel.
  1. I am not able to change my preferences. Why?
    You will not be able to edit the same Preference for 90 days from the day you edit/update the preference.
  1. How can I find my Job Role?
    If you have any difficulties or doubts in finding your suitable Job role, you can refer to the Job Role guide given in the Website. Click on “View JobRole Guide” to refer the Job Role Guide at the bottom left hand side corner.
    For more details refer to User guide (User is guide is available at the home page in the left panel).
  1. How can I get more opportunities?
    New opportunities are added every day. Update your preferences and keep your profile updated to get new opportunities.
  1. What should I do if need some technical assistance with IGS?
    You can refer to the user guide available in the IGS portal for basic troubleshooting. For further assistance, please contact IGS helpdesk at 080-67067119 or help@igotskills.in between 10 AM and 6 PM from Monday to Friday.

  1. Why should I register with I Got Skills?
    IGS helps in identifying the right candidates for your job requirements, through an easy-to-use interface and intelligent match-making tool. Employers registered with IGS can create personalized job requirements, view and shortlist suitable profiles from a pool of verified and evaluated candidates, schedule interviews, and recruit them with just a few clicks. IGS also covers over 2200 job roles from 37 sectors listed by NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation).
  1. Is there an eligibility criteria to register on IGS?
    There is no eligibility criteria to register on IGS. Enterprises of all sizes and trades are welcome to register on IGS for recruiting their workforce.
  1. Does it cost me to use IGS services?
    No. IGS services are currently being offered totally FREE of cost. Also, if you’re among the first 1 million registered users, you will benefit from a free life-time access to the IGS platform.
  1. How do I register with I Got Skills?

  • Visiting https://igotskills.in/employer and clicking on ‘New User Register Here’ link

  1. For how long will my job requirements be active?
    A job requirement will be active till the ‘End date’ specified by you while creating the job requirement on IGS portal.
  1. How do I remove my job requirements from IGS portal?
    You can remove your Job requirements from IGS portal by changing the ‘End date’ to the desired date of closure.
  1. What are the next steps after posting job requirements?
    After successfully posting job requirements, suitable candidate profiles will be displayed in the ‘View matches’ tab in IGS portal after 24hrs. You can view the candidate details/resumes, shortlist them, and schedule interviews to take it forward.
  1. How can I refine my candidate search in ‘My Matches’?
    You can refine your search in ‘My Matches’ by applying filters on Age, Experience, Qualification, Location and Job Roles. You can also sort your My Matches list using Sort By options given at the top right corner of ‘My Matches’ page. For more details refer to User guide available on the left side panel of IGS portal.
  1. What is ‘match percentage’? How is it calculated?
    Match percentage indicates how suitable the candidate is for your job requirement. Match percentage is calculated based on various parameters that include Sector, job role, age, location, academic qualification, prior experience, expected salary etc.
  1. How can I schedule an interview?
    If you find the candidate eligible for your requirements, click on ‘view contact/resume’ to see the candidate’s contact details. After having a telephonic discussion with the candidate, you can schedule the interview by clicking on the ‘Schedule Interview’ button. Once you provide the ‘Venue’ and ‘Date’, an SMS will be sent to the candidate with the interview details.
  1. How can I submit post-interview feedback?
    Once the interview is complete you can provide the feedback on the candidate by clicking on the ‘Submit Feedback’ Button. If the candidate is selected, you need to specify the ‘Nature of Employment’ and if rejected, you need to specify the ‘Reason for Rejection’.
  1. Why should I submit post-interview feedback?
    The feedback submitted by you will be used to improve the quality of matches for your job requirements. It will also keep us updated about the status of candidates participating in the process. This feedback will also be shared with our training providers in order to help the candidate improve his/her skillset through our training programs.

    Training requirements does not have an expiry date. Requirements will be active unless you delete them manually.
  1. How do I remove my training requirements from IGS portal?
    You can delete your training requirement on IGS portal by clicking the delete button next to requirement. For more details refer to User guide available on the left side panel.
